Staar Surgical

Pioneering an adaptable marketing model that manufacturers can offer clinics to help boost sales

The challenge

Driving patient acquisition for our client’s clients

Headquartered in California, STAAR Surgical are leaders in the development, manufacturing and marketing of implantable contact lenses for ICL surgery. Looking for a way to increase revenue in a nascent market for their partner clinics, STAAR wanted to engage with patients and effectively drive patient acquisition for their clients’ surgeries.

With those goals in mind, and knowing that their partner clinics (who offer a range of treatments beyond ICL) lacked both the internal resource and digital know-how to run their own campaigns, we developed an easily adaptable marketing campaign model.

The solution

A centralised marketing strategy with local clinic deployment

Each clinic had:

– Extreme variation in their access to existing assets
– Varied levels of experience in utilising digital marketing
– Different geographical locations and local market requirements

We developed a marketing strategy that utilised paid search, paid social and email marketing in a straightforward, easily replicable output. By unifying market research, ad creative and messaging, as well as building a versatile landing page using an off-site platform, we ensured that each campaign could be deployed for any number of individual clinics — and scaled up as success grew.

Results

Our partnership with STAAR allowed them to pioneer a dynamic digital marketing strategy which could be rapidly rolled out to any clinic in their specific vertical. Overall the campaign generated:
