At the heart of it, we are all working towards the same goal: making people’s lives better. At Medico, our aim is to help healthcare providers, networks and brands to connect with patients. When someone is unwell and looks for help, we want to make sure our clients have the right information in the right places so the patients who need their services can find them quickly and get the care they need.
I started my career in communications, radio and advertising, before moving into healthtech. In my previous role, I launched and grew a healthcare startup connecting patients with the right providers in Australia, giving me first-hand insight into the challenges and opportunities facing both patients and healthcare organisations.
My leadership style is hands-on and strategic. I focus first on understanding client’s needs and requirements, and then work closely with our team to deliver solutions that are not only creative, but effective. I believe the best results come from marrying the left side of the brain with the right, combining strategy with empathy, and keeping the human experience at the centre of every decision.
One of the biggest challenges I see in healthcare today is misinformation online, particularly with AI. Patients are entitled to accurate, reliable healthcare information. For many of us, the first step in our healthcare journey is jumping online for symptoms and possible treatments. I’ve even been there myself: after an ear infection, I found myself in a downward dog yoga pose with my head submerged in water, thanks to a questionable AI suggestion. At Medico, we’re committed to making the healthcare experience better by ensuring patients have access to the right information at the right time. I’m excited to bring this mission to APAC and support healthcare providers connecting with their patients online.
