Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you decide to work with us or another agency, we hope that the following information helps to clear up some of the common queries healthcare practitioners have when choosing to work with a digital marketing agency.

Can you guarantee I will be on the first page of Google? If not how long will it take for my site to get there?

We will never make any guarantees to rank your website on the first page of Google as your page ranking depend on a number of different factors. For example, if you operate in a particularly competitive search market, such as cosmetic surgery where there are a number of high street chains and private hospitals who invest a lot of resources on their digital marketing activities, its likely to take longer to achieve a first page ranking. Equally new domain names can take a while to get established and build a trust score with search engines.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is an ongoing process, and generally the more time and resource you throw at it, the more likely you’re to succeed. Therefore, ranking on the first page of Google can often depend on the level of SEO you purchase and the keywords you hope to rank for.

Regardless of any of these factors, we always endeavour to achieve the highest possible rankings for our SEO clients, and although some may take slightly longer than others to get there, we’ve never failed to get a client onto the first page of Google before.

Will my website be mobile and tablet compatible?

Yes, all our medical website designs are mobile responsive to make them compatible with mobile and tablet devices. This is particularly important as Google will penalise websites that aren’t optimised for mobile use.

Are there any ‘start up’ fees or premiums for products purchased?

No, there are no start up fees or premiums for any of our SEO or medical website design services.

Am I tied into a contract? If so how long is the minimum contract?

Our SEO contracts have a 3 month minimum term, however if you choose the SEO package that includes a free medical website design then there is a 12 month minimum term.

What support will I have? (Can you call/email ‘out of hours’ – will you have an allocated personal account manager)

We understand how busy consultants are during the day, so we are happy to take calls or reply to emails any time of the day, weekday or weekend.

All of our clients are assigned a dedicated Account Manager to work with them throughout the duration of their website, SEO or social media project.

Can I speak with a client/consultant of yours regarding their experience of the service you have provided them with so far?

We would be happy to put you in touch with any of our clients.

What reporting will you provide me with and how will it be relevant to my practise specifically?

For those on a premium SEO contract we offer a personal online system to track your progress, as well as this we try to talk to you regularly over the phone or by email to discuss your progress.

What content and or imaging will you require off me to get a website set up?

Content is probably the most important aspect of your website as the content on your site needs to be clear and helpful to patients as well as search engines. It’s therefore worth thinking about the pages you would like before embarking on your website project. Most consultants that we work with have a homepagecontact pageclinic locations, a page dedicated to the research they’ve been involved with, and information about their treatments they offer or conditions they treat.

Creating content for a brand new website is a daunting prospect for anyone, let alone a busy consultant. If you’re struggling to find the time to fulfill your content requirements, we can organise some of our professional medical copywriters to help you to write up any condition or treatment pages – all you need provide are some detailed notes on your specialities and surgical techniques. We can also advise and help you to pick out appropriate stock imagery for your new site.

Another tactic we recommend is to have a page related to each search term/keyword you would like to rank for. We can have a look at the popularity of different search terms in your area to guide us on this.

As well as the structure and written content on your site any images/patient information booklets/testimonials/CV/photos etc. are all very helpful.

Will you offer training for my secretary regarding the monitoring / management of my website?

We would be happy to. If you have a contract with us we also offer free cosmetic/content changes so your secretary can focus on your patients. We would also be happy to set up email addresses if that is needed.
